Titus 2:7-8 NRSV
7 Show yourself in all respects a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, gravity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be censured; then any opponent will be put to shame, having nothing evil to say of us.

God is always watching, people are always watching. Today as you go about your task make sure that the person that others meet is the same one you model on your best day. I pray for your strength with what ever you are facing that the words from your mouth are acceptable in God's sight. In the name of Jesus amen.

I Love you as I Love God.

<![CDATA[The Right Desires]]>Fri, 08 Aug 2014 12:34:09 GMThttps://righteouslivingministries.org/devotional/the-right-desiresPicture
Titus 3:8-14New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) 8 The saying is sure.

I desire that you insist on these things, so that those who have come to believe in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works; these things are excellent and profitable to everyone. 9 But avoid stupid controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. 10 After a first and second admonition, have nothing more to do with anyone who causes divisions, 11 since you know that such a person is perverted and sinful, being self-condemned.

Final Messages and Benediction12 When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. 13 Make every effort to send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way, and see that they lack nothing. 14 And let people learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet urgent needs, so that they may not be unproductive.

Happy Friday brothers and sisters,

Paul's desire for Titus are the same desires that we should have for ourselves. We should make it our aim to follow the rules at work, in our community that are set by those in authority, be obedient to God's word, be ready to do good work and deeds for one another, and not speak evil of one another. ;These few desires can change our day and our lives as well as those we come in contact with if we accept and apply them. I pray that today you go and make your work profitable for the Kingdom in the name of Jesus, amen.

I love you as I love God.

<![CDATA[Good and Godly Actions ]]>Thu, 07 Aug 2014 11:51:49 GMThttps://righteouslivingministries.org/devotional/good-and-godly-actionsPicture
Titus 1:15-16 NRSV
15 To the pure all things are pure, but to the corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure. Their very minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their actions. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.

What can be said about your actions? Starting with self reflection, can you say that your actions are pure or are you corrupt and non believing? What do you profess? Do your actions dictate that you know God or are you unfit for any good work? These are some hard questions to as ones self. Family trust I as myself constantly and I sometimes I do not like the answer. However, thanks be to God for His Son Jesus Christ. I can celebrate that through his love, each time I am not pleased with the answer I find I can ask for forgiveness and turn from my way. I pray for your encouragement to let your actions be directed by God. May your belief be witnessed by all that you come in contact with today. I is with hope and faith that your work be fitting in the sight of God. Should you find that you do not measure up to the call of Christ, may the memory of His precious sacrifice bring you back to relationship. In the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

I love you as I love God.

<![CDATA[Be Compassionate to God's People]]>Wed, 06 Aug 2014 12:13:17 GMThttps://righteouslivingministries.org/devotional/be-compassionate-to-gods-peoplePicture
Acts 28:23-30
23 After they had set a day to meet with him, they came to him at his lodgings in great numbers. From morning until evening he explained the matter to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the law of Moses and from the prophets. 24 Some were convinced by what he had said, while others refused to believe. 25 So they disagreed with each other; and as they were leaving, Paul made one further statement: “The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiah,

26 ‘Go to this people and say,
You will indeed listen, but never understand,
and you will indeed look, but never perceive.
27 For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and their ears are hard of hearing,
        and they have shut their eyes;
so that they might not look with their eyes,
    and listen with their ears,
and understand with their heart and turn—
    and I would heal them.’
28 “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!” 29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed and had a great dispute among themselves.

Once you understand and become aware, then you must be compassionate to God's people. The summary of the Decalogue tells us in part to love our neighbor as our self. I ask you family is your heart hardened or is it malleable to tell God's people the truth in love? Paul shares the truth about Christ to the Jewish leadership and not all wanted to believe. They begin to argue with one another. If you notice in the text some versions omit the 29th verse, King James Version says, "And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves." This speaks to us concerning the leadership that we have to show for all that may come. Understanding with our heart is being compassionate. We like the Gentiles of the first century church are receiving a reward that we could not do anything to earn. But, by the Grace of God and the blood of Jesus we don't have to be caught up in the argument that the poor leadership of the Pharisaic community of first century church that did not have the compassion to accept the truth. Rather you and I can go like Paul on our own accord to spread the the Gospel full and free with hindrance. We can tell truth out of love. We can see a way out. We have access to everlasting life. Because God is speaking we are listening and that makes us his people. I pray for your compassion to grow today and the love of Christ to encompass all you do. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

I love you as I love God.

<![CDATA[Forgiveness Will Save You!]]>Mon, 07 Jul 2014 11:27:18 GMThttps://righteouslivingministries.org/devotional/dont-let-today-cost-you-your-salvationPicture
Ephesians 4:25-32 NRSV

25 So then, putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbors, for we are members of one another. 26 Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not make room for the devil. 28 Thieves must give up stealing; rather let them labor and work honestly with their own hands, so as to have something to share with the needy. 29 Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption. 31 Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, 32 and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.

Good Morning,

I have missed you all! I pray that all is well in your world. I am well and so is my family. Now after some much needed rest and relaxation with my immediate family, I hope that today's devotional can inspire you to lead a life that will bring glory to the God we serve. This text today will speak strongly to the heart of the believer if allowed. The writer is trying to encourage the spirit of truth, love, honesty, kind words, and forgiveness to go before the people of Ephesus.

Yet, we too can take these words and apply them to our lives. It is hard to love and be kind to the those that hurt us. Agreed? We must forgive
and not hold on to the anger that lies at our very core. Today I encourage you first pray and seek God's counsel. Second, reach out and make contact with someone that has hurt you or you have hurt. Third, allow the Holy Spirit to move in that situation to repair that relationship. Finally, forgive whatever the transgression and comment to God and yourself to love that person or persons. remember life is short and the Kingdom is at stake. I pray for your encouragement and your patience. In the name of Jesus, amen.

I love you as I love Christ.

<![CDATA[Remember When, Embrace Now. ]]>Mon, 30 Jun 2014 14:43:09 GMThttps://righteouslivingministries.org/devotional/remember-when-embrace-nowEphesians 2: 11-13 NRSV

11 So then, remember that at one time you Gentiles by birth, called “the uncircumcision” by those who are called “the circumcision”—a physical circumcision made in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Family, thank God for the change in our lives. Today is a great beginning just as the day we came into the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This life that we are living has been redeemed by the Risen Savior. All of our former life no longer matters. Thanks be to God for the love shown to us, formerly the uncircumised.
I love you as I love Christ.

Ephesians 1:15-19
15 I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, and for this reason 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. 17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, 18 so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his great power.

We (Christians) all have faith in Christ. Some more than others however, our individual aim is to come to know Christ. Faith being; the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen Hebrews 11:1. We are assured of the love of Christ by His sacirifice and through the evidence of His resurrection we believe He lives. Knowing Jesus comes only from intential effort to be in relationship with Him. We daily intentially work at building relationships on our jobs, in schools, with family and friends by communing with these individuals. We ask a bout their day and inquire how we can be their for them in time of need. I offer to you today family, that same energy you put into these earthly relationships put in that same energy into coming to know Christ through prayer, study, and devotion.

I love you as I love C

Ephesians 1 3:8a

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. 5 He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace 8 that he lavished on us.

I thank God for his forsight and love. What are you thankful for that God has done for you?
After reflecting on what you are thankful for share it with someone in love.

<![CDATA[Reciprocity]]>Mon, 23 Jun 2014 11:56:27 GMThttps://righteouslivingministries.org/devotional/reciprocityPicture
Colossians 3: 18-25
18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.

20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is your acceptable duty in the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, or they may lose heart. 22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only while being watched and in order to please them, but wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord. 23 Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, 24 since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ. 25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong has been done, and there is no partiality.

Good Morning Family, I pray that from this scripture you and I will find the balance through reciprocity of how we are to act towards one another. As we are not our own we being slaves of Christ, we should model the behavior that he showed us in the giving of his life on the cross so that we may have life. Let our hearts, minds, and souls be obedient to the Word of God as we endeavor to live a life righteously. Family give your all to one another not for each others sake but for the love of Christ our Savior. It is in the name of Jesus, I pray for your strength and mine. Amen.

I love you as I love Christ.
